Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

The tradition of a parish prayer ministry is a beautiful part of both the spiritual and pastoral life of many congregations. You are invited to incorporate the Cathedral Prayer List and weekly Prayers of the People into your prayer life.

If you want to pray, but aren’t sure how or what that means, you aren’t alone in that. Prayer can be daunting—even for people who have been living the Christian life and praying for many years. It can feel like a struggle, and sometimes we doubt that we are “doing it right.”

Here is a link to some thoughts that might deepen your reflection:

To add a name to the prayer list, please email Karen Amundrud. If you or someone you know is ill or hospitalized, please call the Cathedral Office (727-822-4173). For pastoral care concerns, contact Canon Ethan J. Cole.

Collect for the week of October 17 Almighty and everlasting God, in Christ you have revealed your glory among the nations: Preserve the works of your mercy, that your Church throughout the world may persevere with steadfast faith in the confession of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Collect for Sunday, December 15
Stir up your power, O Lord, and with great might come among us; and, because we are sorely hindered by our sins, let your bountiful grace and mercy speedily help and deliver us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen.

Eucharistic Visitors are available to bring communion to those who, by reason of illness or infirmity, are unable to be at the Celebration of Holy Eucharist on Sunday mornings. If you would like to request a visit, or know of someone who would, please contact Karen Amundrud (amundrudk@yahoo.com).
