No Cure for Being Human Book Discussion

November 7: Chapters 1-3
November 14: 4-6
November 21: 7-10

It’s hard to give up on the feeling that the life you really want is just out of reach. Everyone wants to believe that they are headed toward good, better, best. But what happens when the life you hoped for is put on hold indefinitely? (from Penguin Random House)

Led by Deacon Hillary Peete, all are invited to gather in-person for a conversation in the Chapter Room about how we hold both the terrible and beautiful truths about life and find hope in knowing that there is no cure for being human.

Each week will open with a quiet meditation on scripture and then discussion around chapters in Kate Bowler’s book “No Cure for Being Human (And Other Truths I Need To Hear).

Copies of the book are available to purchase at church for $12 or you can purchase one on your own online. You’re also welcome to just come for conversation if you aren’t able to read the book each week.
